Who is Coded Imagery
Coded Imagery has developed the technology to design, originate and implement Brand and ID Security Systems using 'encrypted imaging solutions' that are instantly recognizable for their inherent image clarity and simplicity, based on a foundation of sophisticated levels of encryption security.
We are currently developing customized solutions for approved vendors to the Department of Transportation, as well as brand owners who require specialized authentication markings of their products to thwart attempts at counterfeiting, as well as to survive extreme conditions of heat, fire, chemical action and physical abrasion.
Our research and application development in the fields of materials science, applied optics and encryption systems have resulted in a technology development platform, which enables us to offer advancing levels of sophistication in security solutions to keep our clients always ahead of the counterfeiters.
Meet Our Team
Gautam Thor, Ph.D.
President and CEO
Dr. Gautam Thor has developed an expertise in optics and imaging, which has resulted in the invention of the Code Imaging technology.
He earned his Ph.D. in Neurobiology from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research and a Master of Science in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology. He completed his postdoctoral work at the University of Heidelberg in Germany.
From 1987 to 1993, Dr. Thor was at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), as a post-doctoral fellow and later as a non-faculty staff member. There he performed basic research in the Departments of Chemistry and Biology, and at the UCSD Cancer Center, and with interdepartmental projects that were funded by several federal agencies. In 2007, partially funded by a National Science Foundation grant, and later through the private sector, he continues to develop his inventions in diverse areas of interest.
Rishabh Malhotra, Msc.
Director Information Technology
Mr. Rish Malhotra is an Electrical and Computer Engineer by profession with Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Science degrees in Engineering. He also holds an MBA specializing in technology management and international business management.
Previously, he has worked with Engineering companies in several roles including design, research & development, implementation, testing, verification as well as in technology management and strategic business consulting roles. He has also worked with BMO Bank of Montreal in commerical banking in Canada. Mr. Malhotra is currently managing the international business for International Road Dynamics in the intelligent transportation systems industry and has been involved with Coded Imagery over for the past few years with software algorithms and encryption protocols.
Ravi Potatthil, Ph.D.
Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Ravi Pottathil specializes in biotechnology and ecotechnology assessment and development. Dr. Pottathil has unique experience with technology research and development in entrepreneurial environments. The technologies span a variety of scientific arenas including Clean-tech renewable fuels (biodiesel), natural pesticides, antimicrobial compounds, medical devices, human and veterinary diagnostic assays, and functional foods.
Prior to his position with Coded Imagery, Dr. Pottathil served as Chief Technical Officer at Initio Fuels a biodiesel fuel company and Chief Chemical Process Scientist for PetroAlgae, Inc., another XL Tech-group company.
Dr. Pottathil has a lot of experience in developing new technologies to introduce to the world. He has developed a multiphore nano coding which was incorporated into a Canadian Security Company between 2000-2004. He developed a DNA code library for authentication of high value products. He also developed chemistries that allowed integration of nano-codes into various matrices such as paper, plastic and inks.
Sanjay Deshmukh
Director of Operations, India
Sanjay collaborates with various teams to co-create innovative technologies, products and solutions and takes these to commercialization level to serve unmet market needs. He is an Entrepreneur involved in strategic planning, business development, product development, managing operations, marketing, investment funding, and cultivating strategic partnerships and alliances for the companies that he is involved with.
Also, he has launched business initiatives from the initial conception, through proof of concept, pilot stage, design, engineering, development, production, validation, testing to taken to commercialization stage. In addition, he manages cross-functional teams, communications, and partnership relationships between global companies. He is the co-inventor, along with Dr Ravi Pottathil, of IO-Mega, an algae to omega 3 process. He has worked to co-develop the biodiesel technology from lab to commercial scale which can convert various feedstocks including waste/ recycled oils economically into biodiesel.
He has worked in software, capital goods, and light engineering industries. As a co-inventor at TAS, he managed, developed, and built a technology platform, as well as directed the development of solutions for information analysis from pre-inception stage to commercial launch, growing it to a “technology product vendor with an innovative platform, providing end-to-end infrastructure for information processing and analysis”.
